My introduction to the insurance industry came through family – both my sister and aunt worked at Life USA in the late 1980s and encouraged me to get my start in the business. That led to my first role at Allianz in 2003, where I started on the operations side before moving into sales in 2007. My time at Allianz gave me a deep understanding of the insurance business from multiple angles, including operations, product, and distribution. I moved into the IMO space in 2015 and have been helping financial professionals grow their business through partnership, strategy, and support ever since.
I inherited an entrepreneurial spirit from my parents, who ran a family-owned electrical contracting business for over 50 years. That mix of family influence and business ownership shaped my approach to this career. Being seen as a true partner with those I work with, not just a product resource, is the most rewarding part of what I do. I’m driven by relationships – seeing the impact I can make by partnering with financial professionals, helping them serve their clients better, and grow their practices. Success is built on relationships. When you lead with integrity, listen well, and serve others’ needs first, the business takes care of itself.
When I’m not helping my financial professionals succeed, I love spending time with my wife, Amber, our sons, Mason and Emmett, and our friends and family. If we’re not at a basketball practice or game, or a band or orchestra performance, we can probably be found at our lake cabin, fishing or relaxing.
